Rebecca Doppelt is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern. In 2016, she completed her Master’s Degree at Antioch University Los Angeles in the Trauma Specialization. She began her career providing therapy to diverse populations at the Southern California Counseling Center, conducting intakes, providing crisis intervention and liaising with court appointed social workers. Rebecca has been trained in the Community and Trauma Resiliency Models through the Trauma Resource Institute. She has experience in Psychological First Aid and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Rebecca continues to study multicultural considerations in therapy as well as various approaches to treating trauma.
When conducting therapy, Rebecca strives to create a safe and respectful environment for individuals of all backgrounds and perspectives. She aids each person in identifying and building their strengths to increase every client’s sense of empowerment. Making changes to one’s self through therapy means inevitable shifts in relationships to others, so Rebecca uses a Systems approach to help clients predict and prepare for such adjustments. Rebecca offers patience, warmth and compassion to her clients as they seek to enrich their lives and become their most genuine selves.
