Fiona Nottingham earned her MA in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Trauma from Antioch University Los Angeles.
Fiona brings empathy, warmth, and a non-judgmental approach to working with clients towards achieving optimal whole body, mind and mental wellness incorporating evidence-based practices, attachment theory, neuroscience, and holistic therapeutic treatments.
She brings a wealth of experience to Triune Therapy group in her work with many diverse areas of expertise. She has worked at Beit T’Shuvah, a non-profit residential and outpatient facility, treating client populations presenting with substance use disorders, process addictions, mood disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, mental health illnesses, and interaction with the legal system, through an alternative sentencing program. Additionally, Fiona maintains a professional certification in the treatment of Gambling Disorder through the collaboration between UCLA and Calgets Office of Problem Gambling.
Fiona was trained rigorously in the evidence-based model of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for severe mood and emotion dysregulation, while working at Clearview Treatment Center as part of a comprehensive team.
Prior to becoming a Psychotherapist, Fiona has an extensive background as an executive in the entertainment industry, precipitating a relocation to Los Angeles from London. She fosters a collaborative relationship with patients, and focuses on implementing positive change through commitment, compassion, and courage, engendering transformation and healing via the therapeutic relationship.
