Psychotherapy

Selecting the right therapist is an important decision. We understand that the right fit between you and your therapist is integral to your healing, and will answer any questions you may have about how our compassionate approach, training, and clinical style can benefit you. Research indicates that the quality of the relationship between you and your therapist is the most important factor in effective treatment, above therapeutic style and credentials. We take the time to get to know you and ensure your comfort in the therapeutic setting. Further, the integration of evidence-based practices into our work ensures you are getting the most efficacious care.

Research has shown that participating in psychotherapy alleviates symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses, and can be a protective factor against relapses in addiction, mood instability, and other compulsive behaviors. Often, the healing benefits of therapy are sustained long after treatment has ended.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy sessions consist of you and your therapist outlining specific goals and interventions, designed to meet your unique needs. Sessions are generally 50 minutes in length, and the frequency and number of sessions recommended ranges depending on the severity of your symptoms and nature of your goals.

Couples’ Therapy

In Couples’ sessions, the goal is to help you and your partner re-align where ruptures have occurred in the relationship. Often couples get out of sync with each other and can benefit from having a safe space in which to work through their struggles. Common reasons couples seek therapy include, recovering from infidelity, differences in sexual desire and preferences, varied parenting styles, finances, and patterns of ineffective communication.
